Tim has over the past five years, set up and expanded The Club of the Three Wise Monkeys, which operates at every level of the market. Tim’s career began in 1988 within the Laura Ashley design practice. Following this he worked for John Stefanidis &
Associates in 1991. Tim returned to Laura Ashley to take over their fledgling design practice. In just four years he developed and expanded the practice and increased annual turnover from £4.7 million to £20 million. By 2001 he was running a design team of in excess of 150 people in the UK and Europe, proving himself as commercially astute as he is creative. With experience in all areas of design from large scale commercial and hospitality industry projects to bespoke homes for private individuals, Tim has formed a team that works broadly across the design industry.

Brenda Maclauchlan

Brenda Maclauchlan
Managing Director

Brenda is an enthusiastic and commercially aware Senior Manager with a wealth of experience in the Interiors market. Highly motivated with great ability to motivate and develop large teams. Able to perform well under pressure to ensure deadlines are achieved and targets are exceeded. Communicates comfortably and effectively at all levels making use of excellent negotiation skills.

She has worked with Tim Millar-Shepherd for the past ten years and for four of them managed a team of Interior Designers across three major high street retailers nationally. Working at board level and responsible for sales, operations and new business development.

Her experience includes involvement in the initial set up of a new business including all recruitment, training and procurement.

Ray Piggott

Ray Piggott - LLB, C.Eng.FIET
Non-Executive Director

Ray was formerly chairman and CEO of an international telecommunications company with a turnover of £165 million overseeing 2,000 staff in 55 offices across four continents. It is no underestimation that Ray has an enormous amount of energy, recently dividing his time between lecturing at a number of engineering institutes, writing two books on how to prepare for work outside education and being interviewed a number of times on the `Nicky’ Campbell show on radio 5 Live in a business-related phone in. Not only this but in 2004 Ray completed a degree in law at the Birkbeck College of London University, in addition to his engineering degree. He is an expert in the Sales, Business & Development field and supports our team by providing us with his knowledge and experience. Ray is an incredible asset to Three Wise Monkeys.

Sarah Bladin

Sarah Bladin
Head of Design
Sarah is from Australia, but most of her experience in the industry comes from living in the UK for the last 4.5 years. Sarah has worked in various sectors including retail, high end residential, commercial, exhibition design & furniture design. She has also traveled extensively around the world, and gains much inspiration from places as remote as the Sahara Desert, to the lively streets of Buenos Aires.

Cara Garth

Cara Garth
Senior Interior Architectural Designer

Cara is an Interior Architectural designer who grew up in a small community in county Victoria in Australia before moving to Melbourne to study.

Cara loves the contrast between new and old architecture, chocolate, reading clouds and all things green and, she hates runny eggs. Cara moved to the UK to travel and got caught up in her work. She finds the more she travels the more passion and inspiration she has for buildings, design and the way people live.

Carolina Giraldo

Carolina Giraldo

Carolina came to Europe after finishing her degree in Business in Colombia, she did work experience in Madrid where she lived for one year, then moved to London to study English and had the opportunity to join Three Wise Monkeys in 2006. Being a bilingual person (Spanish and English) has been very useful for Three Wise Monkeys with projects in Spain as well as many other countries. Carolina feels that she is contributing in creating a great company and being part of amazing design projects gives her great satisfaction.

Debbie Kwok

Debbie Kwok
Business Manager Hong Kong office

Debbie manages our Three Wise Monkeys office in Hong Kong, where she develops business links and promotes our services to the Asian market.

Debbie grew up in Hong Kong and studied and lived in the USA for over four years. With over 6 years of experience in marketing and event managing, her experience ranges from hospitality to retail.

Danielle Joyce

Danielle Joyce
Senior Interior Designer

Danielle has been designing for Three Wise Monkeys for 3 years specialising in all interior and exterior finishes. Amongst this role she produces mood boards and works closely with the interior architects to provide detailed schedules of all chosen materials and products. Danielle uses her graphic design skills to bring together client presentations. Before becoming a wise monkey Danielle was one of the main presenters on popular BBC television programme “House Invaders”.

Leigh Millar-Shepherd

Leigh Millar-Shepherd
Senior Interior Designer

Leigh is an Interior Designer specialising in show flats for developers across the UK and works for Three Wise Monkeys bringing this experience to them. She also maintains their extensive library and keeps the practice up to date with new product and initiatives. Leigh adds glamour, flair and the Scottish element to the team and has been with the practice since day one. With an art and design background, her sparkle and are key elements in the team.

Frederic Kraemer

Frederic Kraemer
senior Architectural Designer

Frederic studied architecture at the FH Kaiserslautern in Germany and in Italy. After his degree he moved to Italy to increase his architectural and cultural view.

Frederic has worked on a broad range of projects for public and private clients including master planning and several proposals in the UAE. He has gained more experience in interior design and worked on a variety of restoration and refurbishment projects as well as a range of concept studies with a growing interest for interior and industrial design.

He came to London in 2007 and has worked on a large high density residential scheme. Frederic is now looking forward to new architectural challenges with Three Wise Monkeys.

Raquel Mendes Ribeiro

Raquel comes from the sunny city of Lisbon, where she studied Architecture and has been working for the past two years. Raquel came to London because she loves everything that a big city has to offer. As an architect she sees the opportunity to grow and learn more about this line of work. As an individual, Raquel appreciates the multicultural nature of the city and the mix of people from all over the world, but she mostly loves the London rush!

Wendy Law

Wendy Law
Interior Architectural Designer

Wendy joined Three Wise Monkeys in Dec 2007 after working in Sydney for 4 years, predominantly in the corporate & residential arena. Wendy came to London to seek new challenges and broaden her experience in interior architecture. It gives her great satisfaction to be working with such diversity that Three Wise Monkeys have to offer, with its unique individuals, their talents and its range of projects. Wendy looks forward to all the challenges each project brings.

Wendy was born in Hong Kong, grew up in Australia and is an identical twin. She loved growing up with such cultural diversity, living with the complexity of traditional and mod modern; oriental and western societies, views and most importantly – cooking.

Sophie Fuller

Sophie, the newest member of the design team has loved design from an early age and has come armed with a degree in design. With previous experience in a retail, residen residential and Jewellery design. She now wishes to build up solid grounding in all areas.

Since joining Three Wise Monkeys Sophie has worked on the interior finishes, furniture and schedules across many different projects providing support for Danielle and the rest of team

Katerina Plota

Katerina Plota
Interior Architectural Designer

Katerina has been working as a freelancer in London and in Greece since 2000. Having worked in projects expanding from housing to spa design, she finds it quite difficult to define one single field of design that fascinates her more.

She was attracted to the Three Wise Monkeys by the variety of projects and even though there are so many things to do somehow, it still feels relaxed.

Bob Brown

Bob Brown
Quantity Surveyor

Bob Brown is a chartered quantity surveyor with over twenty years experience. Bob has worked on large projects such as exhibition centres, sports stadia and small projects such as residential works. Bob likes to work as part of the larger team and is keen to explore every possible approach for the good of his clients and their projects. Outside of work, Bob supports West Ham United and one day hopes to become a competent skier.

Lucy Gardiner

Lucy, although sounding British has spent all of her life travelling, absorbing different cultures from all over the world, but has now found herself settled amongst London’s cosmopolitan lifestyle.

After University she trained as an actress spending time touring the country with vari various stage and TV shows before becoming a full time presenter on the shopping channel Sit-Up television, where she developed her sales skills.

From there she moved into a more profes professional sales environment, working in the city as a consultant, but realized she needed to combine this professionalism with her passion for creativity, travel, adventure and people… so here she is at Three Wise Monkeys!

Vanessa Douglas

Vanessa has been part of its development of the practice over the past 3 years, where she has been lucky enough to see it grow from strength to strength.

Being a creative and highly organized person, her experience comes from a varied career history. She has worked for publishing distributors to a large marketing strategy company, as well as a bespoke picture framer for a while. Vanessa also took a year out to do a full time interior design course in London which has added to her understanding and appreciation of the business and also has a Fashion Marketing and Management diploma.

Mino Pinna

Mino Pinna
Project Assistant

Mino is originally from Cabras, Sardinia, after deciding to leave Italy in search of adventure he drove from Italy to Scotland in 1998, without being able to speak a word of English. In 2005 he met his ‘bella ragazza’- Ashley. After a few years Ashley moved to London to go to drama school and Mino followed. Mino is looking forward to the next chapter of his adventure with Three Wise Monkeys.

Amanda Kitto

Administration

Amanda is officially the Administrator. Unofficially, she delivers team building, a great personality, and a witty sense of humour. Amanda previously worked at a 5 Star Backpackers in Wellington, New Zealand, which she really enjoyed. However, moving into a Design Practice like Three Wise Monkeys has been a fantastic experience for her, especially since meeting her sensational colleagues and the clients that the company have been involved with.

Sid

Sid
Monkey Mascot

Sid is our practice mascot. He is an important member of our team and also moonlights as our yearly award trophy. The winning team member gets to nurture and teach Sid all they know before being handed back to the judges for the next years winner. The only question is what if Sid wins?
